Copyright & DMCA Policy

How to report copyright infringement on TentPole.

1. Our Commitment

TentPole respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") and similar laws.

2. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe content on TentPole infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail to locate it (URL preferred)
  4. Your contact information (address, phone, email)
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

4. Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the removed material and its location before removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, and phone number, plus consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or, outside US, Delaware federal court)
  5. A statement that you will accept service of process from the original complainant

We may restore the material 10-14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notice unless the complainant files a court action.

5. Repeat Infringers

TentPole will terminate accounts of users who are repeat infringers under appropriate circumstances.

6. Misrepresentation

Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notice may subject you to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

7. Trademark Complaints

For trademark complaints (not covered by DMCA), email legal@thetentpole.com with details of your trademark, evidence of ownership, and the allegedly infringing material.
